The Art of Bromeliads
An open call to artists brought in artists from all over the state!
Dates: Nov. 1-Nov. 30
The Art of Bromeliads exhibition of paintings, photography and fiber art at the Peabody Auditorium runs Nov. 1-4, and Nov. 7 – 30. The Peabody is closed to the public Nov. 5-6. The exhibition is open box office hours: Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM; closed Saturday and Sunday

Awards will be presented at the Registrants and Artists Reception on November 4, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
A cash award will go to the first place winner. Judging will be by Calandra Thurrott, certified bromeliad judge and curators Mary McBride and Judy Gilmer.
We were looking for exceptional depictions of bromeliads either real or fantasy and we were overwhelmed with the works presented. We hope you enjoy the slideshow – only a sampling of the works that will be hung in the gallery!
